Morning in Prospect Park Posted by Hello

Bittersweet birthday...

Warning: Crabby post to follow.

So I turned 30 today.  I guess it's fair to say I'm feeling ok with it, but not having the greatest day around.  About a month ago I had more of the typical "Oh god! I'm turning 30! What the hell am I doing with my life!" freaker - but that has subsided.

It used to be when you were younger - or hell even in your 20s  - that your birthday was a guarnteed good day.  You felt at the top of your game, like walking around everyone would just know it was your special day.   Today just wasn't like that.  I tried to treat myself to pancakes and bacon this morning at Cafe Luluc, but that just gave me a stomache ache.

Now granted, I did most of the hardcore celebrating this past weekend, and lord knows I got down with friends & loved ones.  But today just wasn't special (am I asking too much?)  It was just a gray day, had to go to a stupid doctors appointment. I & M got me a 1hr private scratch lesson at the Scratch DJ Academy which was definitely good but the guy was a bit of a dick. Tonight I went over to D's house and played poker with a bunch of dudes I didn't really know. Had a good time and ate lots of pizza and crap (including some delectible beef jerky) but it wasn't really special.

I'm leaving on Thursday for Burlington, VT to spend a long weekend and hang with old friends.  I'm hoping some time away will do me some good.  So much for being at the top of my game.

So whiney I can be huh??? I'll post some pics I took yesterday on the Photos page. Maybe ther'll be some good ones.

Is ther'll a real word? Do not real words count in a blog? Good night moon.

Merci Buckets...

The first night you are on vacation is the sweetest night of them all.  That moment is the longest amount of time before you have to be back at work.  This moment can also be called the "best case scenario".

Started off well with a  game of scrabble with I. Then we met up with a crew to see VT favorites Deep Soda play at the Bowery Ballroom.  They were opening up for Buckethead (who incidentaly was f'n sick! His music can make anyone feel like an angry 15 year old boy. So basic - so evil!

Have the b-day party tomorrow, even tho the bday isn't until next week. I've accepted turning 30, but it still creeps up in my mind sometimes.   What can I do but embrace it?

Toight like a toiger.

I'm pretty pleased with the flow of the website (although I haven't the faintest F'n clue if people are coming to the website - how could they be? No one knows about it! If you 're here email me so I know you 're out there!)

I don't know nothin bout no pho-to-gro-phy, but I sure do likes takin them pictures.

Went on another date tonight. Dating is so weird. When it's not hittin' is it me or is it them? Maybe it's just not clicking and that's that. I'm just gonna keep showing up.

Really excited to be done with work for a few weeks. Even more excited for my debaucherous birthday party on Saturday night.  Damn - it's gonna get fugly.

Raaaaaaaaaaaar... Yes, I know fish don't roar. But this one does.  Posted by Hello

Now this feels good.

After a few weeks of testing and playing (more playing than testing) I have moved the whole site over to a blog based interface.  With the purchase of the new camera Pentax Optio S4i) and the use of some kick ass software (Hello) I think I have a pretty good bare-bones CMS system in effect.

We'll see - it's pretty get-o.  I'll be posting mostly to the Photo page, and blogging here on the main page.

This version of the site is what I've always envisioned.  Being able to post photos and music I create, update info on the Bus Stop DJ gig, and generally rant & rave about shiz.

And all before I turn 30.

Weekend in the Hamptons. SO beautiful. Felt good to get out of the city.  Posted by Hello

And we're back...

Took a blogging break for a while - so here's a new post for that ass.

Things are good. Finally bought an iPod as an early bday gift to myself. It's pretty awesome to have access to any song you like at any time.
Going tonight to hopefully buy a digicam: either the Casio Z40 or the Pentax S4i. Hmmmmm... we shall see.

Oter than being a total consumer, I've been kicking it in Brooklyn which is the greatest place in the world. Did a hardcore skate last night down to Beard Street pier which I found by accident. Deep red hook with a great view of the river/statue of liberty/sunset.

Going out to the hampty hamps this weekend to see the folks, then one more week of work and it's so long stink town!

Alcohol in the belly = no sleeping for lippy

I've developed this problem where if I've drank any booze I either wake up for a few hours in the middle of the night or I'm up crazy early (like now : 7:30am wakeup on a non-work day). Went out with the work peoples last night to a bar called Vegas on Smith street.

I haven't blogged in a few days. I can't help but think : who's reading this? Who the hell wants to know what f'n restaurants & bars I go to? Do I need to get this thing more personal and become more vounarable to the web world?

Loooooooooooooooong vacation weekend. Staying in town unfortunately. so sleepy .....
