I am officially exhausted. This weekend was a busy one indeed. On Friday we had some people over for dinner and laughs. Amanda made my favorite dish - eggplant casserole (it's heavy on breadcrumbs and cheese. mmmmmmm - cheese). Then we laughed.
Yesterday, after taking Bella to the dog run, we broke out the bikes and cycled over to Prospect Park for my school's Fall picnic. It was a healthy trip from the East Village but the weather was gorgeous and it felt good to work off the afore mentioned cheese. From there we had cocktails and onion rings at Soda in Prospect Heights, then went for a late night taste of the DUMBO arts festival. Then back over the bridge to bookend our day with Bella Shufflebones.

And now I will sleep for many many hours.

Today we got back on the bikes and went up to Central Park for the 10th annual Birds of Prey festival. The animals were amazing. So many varieties of birds with a wide array of talons that can hurt you! Check out this Turkey Vulture video below - not the most intimidating, but will give you a flavor of the event. We decided a little peaceful nature would even out the day so we went a few blocks north to the Conservatory garden. Beautiful.

The mrs. and I daydream a lot about trips we'd like to take, both long and short. In west Pennsylvania is Frank Lloyd Wright's world-famous creation Falling Water. We haven't been able to get it together to make it out that far - it's about 5 hours west of Philly.
We did get a lot closer recently when I read on Design*Sponge about this computer animation of the house and it's environs. It's an amazingly beautiful facsimile and inspires us to make it out there all the sooner.
Well done Cristobal Vila!
