There was a total Police presence, buut the day was ultimately peaceful.

A simple but powerful message. too bad it got clipped by the shade!

The variety and quality of signs and messages was astounding. Nothing like republicans coming to town to really get the creative juices flowing.

Old signage for the now defunct Magic Touch restaurant. I bet the angel hair pasta was magical.

Judoka Limited Dojo Rules. Learn them. Live by them. I love "Keep your finger nails and toe nails clipped" So simple - so powerful.

I call this one "Symmetry on the Gowanus Canal". You may call it "shitty oil tankers".

I've been obssesed with this Kentile Floors sign as of late. I'm trying to get as many shots from as many angles as I can. If anyway can get me roof acceess that would be sweet.

There is no finer moment than when art and fire hydrants meet. Together at last.

The Gowanus neighborhood has all these great big signs orginally designed to be seen from the elevated F/G train platform. This is a close-up from the street.

The view from the backyard of Pollock/Krassner house on Long Island. It must've been nice to look out everyday and then go drip paint for a while. Good times....
